John Hopkins Middle School Center for the Arts, Journalism, and Multimedia is the only Pinellas County middle school accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. The Center for the Arts offer students an opportunity to focus on one of nine areas: art, band, dance, drama, guitar, orchestra, piano, vocal music and world drumming.Students in the Center for Journalism and Multimedia contribute to the national-award-winning school newspaper, The J.Hop Times, and explore print, television and web-based media. The public media mentor for John Hopkins is Kristine Kelly of WEDU.
